do you ever become numb and indifferent to things in your house, to the point that you don't remember how or when they got there? that is, if you even notice them? that was the case with this mirror - it was a dull, boring space occupant and i was starting to take offense to that. not sure where i'm going with it, as it still needs some work and clashes terribly with the drab wall. but at least it has a story now - as anything with turquoise does - and it might force me to re-paint the room to a brighter, cheerier companion color. happy wednesday, and safe travels to those who are on the road for thanksgiving!

oooh I love it! I also love the idea that anything turquoise has a story... which is why I'm featuring it prominently in my wedding. :)
Ooooh! With the flecks of brown showing through, it DOES look like turquoise stone. I love that you feature a different craft or medium every day.
Happy Thanksgiving, aimee! Hope your table is overflowing with good eats and good laughs. And plenty of love. Stay warm! I am SO thankful for you!
I LOVE THE TURQUOISE!!!!! :D
And HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!! :)
Nice!!!! Wow, the color is really coming out this month! LOVE watching your daily projects unfold!
if that turquoise doesn't scream ms. wild child i don't know what does ;)! enjoy your painting and have a wonderful thanksgiving!
Love It!!!
Good for you! I am still rather monochrome in my decorating schemes (and dress) so painting my mirrors turquoise will probably not work for me, but I did rearrange the furniture earlier today (in an attempt to decrease the drabness, and of course, to put off starting on the new editing job). Anyway, I finally realized, after about a year, that the dog has the best damn view of us all! So I moved her doggie bed, and put two chairs in the bay window. Hahaha, she is NOT happy. (But I am).
my favorite color. and now I think I'll think of your line "at least it has a story - as anything with turquoise does" everytime. fabulous
You just can't go wrong with turquoise. I love your way of bravely taking on bright new projects even when you're not sure where you're headed. Can't wait to see how it all turns out!
Love.
Blue isn't my favorite.
But Turquoise is Blue's pretty cousin.
nicely done! I was just thinking that the other day about having something in the wrong place and not really noticing it for years and moving it - and then it suddenly makes a difference. ok, I'm rambling. Happy thanksgiving!
that is my very favorite color of liquitex paint. that will be one awesome mirror. happy thanksgiving to you and yours!
A very, very happy turkey day to you! You're on the right track with the mirror....turquoise is a wonderful start! Have fun!!!
thanks everyone!! i'm taking a posting break today but will be back w/a double doodle tomorrow. happy thankgiving to all who are celebrating! xo
Hope you find the time to paint the room too... I often can't resist the urge to empty a room, paint the walls as I think of little save the process, and then put everything back but in a different place.
Beautiful colour you have selected.
I love that turquoise. I know what you mean - if I could see my house through someone else's eyes - I'd probably make radical changes! There's stuff that's definitely been around too long.
Everything that's painted turqoise is yummy and so are you...you are so good to me...
XOXOrly
